About the role

  • The successful senior tax associate will be a tax enthusiast, thoughtful listener, have a strong team mentality, and be driven to grow professionally and personally.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain client relationships aimed at client retention
  • support clients as it relates to planning, projects and compliance requirements
  • Maintain client paper files and electronic data files in a timely manner

  • Maintain client paper files and electronic data files in a timely manner; compile quarterly asset values for billing, journals, transfers, invoicing, annuity fees, commission fees and collection consulting fees
  • As a senior tax associate, you will work directly with the tax team and wealth management teams to deliver personal, Fiduciary, S-Corporation, partnership, private foundation and gift tax returns.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the necessary attention to detail
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities, deadline-based tasks and simultaneous projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, Accounting
  • 3+ years of related experience

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Familiarity with tax software programs
  • Positive attitude toward client relations to provide exceptional, proactive client service
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills, creative problem solving and strong research capabilities
  • Ability to work on a team while maintaining a high level of responsibility and accountability to individual projects and tasks
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal writing & presentation skills

Compensation

  • Prepare tax returns, quarterly and annual income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, extension forms and all related work papers and financial statements
