About the role

The Senior Manager, Youth Sports Initiatives is responsible for leading the strategy, management, and execution of hockey-focused community and external affairs programming.

Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of hockey-related external affairs programs.
Develop strategies to expand access to hockey programming and increase youth participation across DC communities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, schools, nonprofit partners, and local partners.
Represent the organization at community programs, events, and partner meetings.
Manage end-to-end execution of programs, ensuring alignment across internal teams and external partners.
Submit and manage gameday and program-related graphic requests for marketing assets.
Partner with creative teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
Support storytelling efforts that highlight program impact and community engagement.
Own and manage program budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and invoice processing.
Partner with the District of Play Marketing & Operations Coordinator on budget consolidation and reporting.

Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of experience in program management, community engagement, sports management, or related field.
Experience managing cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholders.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Wrike or similar platforms).
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
