  • Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Aeronautical Engineer Deputy IPT/CAM Level 4 supporting the SiAW Airframe IPT.

Responsibilities

  • Perform an Earned Value Assessment and Variance Analysis Report (VAR) Monthly.
  • Coordinate with supply chain regarding supplier changes, cost reductions, process improvements, and coordinate with manufacturing regarding design and process improvements.
  • Collaborating with other functional areas on various aspects of product design/documentation, including procurement, production, logistics, or configuration management.
  • Experience serving as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead, including coordinating cross-functional activities and interfacing with government/customer counterparts on technical, cost, and schedule.
  • Experience developing cost and schedule estimates for development of DoD.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Government Issued Secret Clearance.
  • Experience working in or providing engineering support to manufacturing or test/evaluation, particularly for DoD projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience
  • OR Master of Science (MS) degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience
  • OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience working within or supporting an Integrated Product Team (IPT) or cross-functional programming team.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management System.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice to have

  • are: Experience with Jira and agile development.
  • Experience designing primary and secondary composite aircraft parts/components, assemblies, and installations.
  • Proficiency in Creo, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of engineering life cycle.
  • Familiar with proactive risk management techniques, such as risk registers and failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA).
  • Active Government Issued Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with Jira and agile development.
  • Experience designing for MIL-STD-810 testing requirements.

Compensation

  • Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
  • Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
  • $142,200.00 - $213,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
