Responsibilities
- Review and compile existing historical information, including site investigation records, laboratory testing, mapping, instrumentation data, and previous design/construction documentation.
- Plan, coordinate, and support geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock logging, field testing, data management, and coordination with subcontractors and project teams.
- Evaluate soil and rock conditions for design, including slope stability, reinforcement requirements, foundation conditions, excavation support, and hard rock tunnel failure mechanisms and stabilization needs.
- Assist with the preparation of design criteria reports, geotechnical data reports, geotechnical interpretive reports, design memoranda, specifications, and construction-phase technical documentation.
- Carry out geotechnical analyses using appropriate software and engineering methods, including stability, support, foundation, tunnel, trenchless, and excavation-related assessments.
- Support structural and civil design interfaces, drawing development, design coordination, and constructability reviews for underground and heavy civil infrastructure.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil, geological, or geotechnical engineering
- a graduate degree in geotechnical engineering, geological engineering, rock mechanics, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with standard geotechnical analysis software
- experience with numerical modelling, Python, or other coding tools would be an excellent additional skill set.
Compensation
- $108k-$155k
