PMC: Senior Director, Events Sportico is the leading authority on the business of sports, covering the intersection of sports, finance, media, law, technology, real estate, sponsorship, private equity, and culture.
The successful candidate understands that exceptional events are both world-class editorial experiences and scalable businesses.
Sportico values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

Lead Sportico's overall live events strategy, business development, and long-term growth.
Develop innovative strategies to boost ticket sales and attendee engagement.
Travel frequently to oversee major events and develop new business opportunities.
Own program development and speaker strategy for thought leadership conferences: design session formats and agendas, and identify, recruit, and manage high-profile speakers, moderators, and panelists.
Build and maintain relationships across venues, production vendors, and agencies.
Negotiate contracts and manage third-party partners to deliver events on brand and on budget.
Own event budgets and P&L, including forecasting, cost tracking, and managing spend to deliver events on budget while maintaining quality.
In addition, PMC owns several vital cultural events such as SXSW, LA3C, and Latin Music Week.

The ideal candidate is a builder.
Minimum 8+ years of experience leading conferences, live events, sponsorship sales, business development, executive programming, or media events.
Experience recruiting high-profile speakers, moderators, and industry leaders.
Strong understanding of the global sports industry and its executive ecosystem.
Demonstrated success growing event businesses through sponsorships, ticket sales, partnerships, and new product development.
Proven ability to build and monetize premium B2B conferences and executive experiences.
