Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • In order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Clearance of Credit check is required for this position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Experience with Oracle is an asset
  • Experience with US GAAP is an asset
  • Hybrid work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesday - Thursday.
  • 8 hours per day, with reasonable overtime required during quarter-end periods
  • Core hours between 7:30-8:30 AM start and 4:30-5:30 PM end.

Compensation

  • The Lead, Technical Accounting plays a key role in assessing the impacts of significant and unusual transactions and in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.

Company info

  • Advise on technical accounting matters and prepare supporting memos on an ad-hoc basis
  • Monitor technical accounting issues and communicate updates to auditors and senior management quarterly
  • Prepare the indirect cash flow statement and supporting working papers quarterly and annually
  • Prepare Adjusted Funds from Operations (AFFO) and advise on transaction impacts
  • Prepare or review financial statement notes and supporting documentation
  • Monitor IFRS developments and prepare quarterly summaries for the Audit Committee
  • Prepare IFRS disclosure checklists to support financial statement reporting
  • Perform SOX controls as required
