Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- In order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Clearance of Credit check is required for this position.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Experience with Oracle is an asset
- Experience with US GAAP is an asset
- Hybrid work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesday - Thursday.
- 8 hours per day, with reasonable overtime required during quarter-end periods
- Core hours between 7:30-8:30 AM start and 4:30-5:30 PM end.
Compensation
- The Lead, Technical Accounting plays a key role in assessing the impacts of significant and unusual transactions and in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.

Company info
- Advise on technical accounting matters and prepare supporting memos on an ad-hoc basis
- Monitor technical accounting issues and communicate updates to auditors and senior management quarterly
- Prepare the indirect cash flow statement and supporting working papers quarterly and annually
- Prepare Adjusted Funds from Operations (AFFO) and advise on transaction impacts
- Prepare or review financial statement notes and supporting documentation
- Monitor IFRS developments and prepare quarterly summaries for the Audit Committee
- Prepare IFRS disclosure checklists to support financial statement reporting
- Perform SOX controls as required
