About the role
- Promote a culture of educational innovation.
- Oversee faculty development by organizing and delivering workshops, seminars, and consultations focused on pedagogical/andragogical skills, innovative teaching methods, and assessment techniques.
- Contribute to quality assurance by participating in the evaluation of courses and programs, analyzing feedback from students and faculty, and implementing improvements to enhance educational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- The LCSVM is co-located with Cabot Animal Support Services (CASS).
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree is optional.
- Required:
- Master's or doctoral degree in education or related, relevant discipline.
- Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational research, preferably in a health sciences or veterinary context.
- Prior experience teaching within a veterinary or medical school.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in educational and/or professional settings.
- Demonstrated scholarly activities in education, innovations, entrepreneurship, and/or medical research.
- This position will be based at the new Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine in Cabot, Arkansas. The LCSVM is co-located with Cabot Animal Support Services (CASS). CASS is a local, state, and national model for shelter medicine, animal welfare, community relations, and education.
