Responsibilities

  • Researches joint venture and funding opportunities for City programs and projects; meets and coordinates with outside agencies and City staff to discuss and gather information for grant submittal; reviews and evaluates technical documents; analyzes data and information and communicates results.
  • Creates applications for outside funding sources by following grant requirements, preparing narratives, letters of support and commitment, project budgets and other information necessary for application and recordkeeping.

Requirements

  • Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
  • applies technical and political expertise in special funding sources and related matters to further the City's interests.
  • facilitates the provision and submission of required financial reports, assists with program performance reporting, and ensures all reporting for grants being pursued or awarded is completed by required deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Finance, Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration or a related field
  • four (4) years experience with grant applications preferred
  • Grant-funded project management systems, documentation and records management.
  • Grant application and administration process and procedures.
  • Current legislative, political, and economic trends in state and Federal governmental activities.
  • Federal, State and local laws, rules and regulations affecting community development and community housing rehabilitation.
  • Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) governing public housing programs, and HUD & CDBG standards and procedures.
  • Local community resources and regional community services programs.

Compensation

  • $1,169.48 - $1,403.35 Weekly
