About the role
- As General Manager, you will take hands-on ownership of resident relations, legal apartment inspections, occupancy policy enforcement, and financial performance.
- Act as the primary communication link between property/asset management teams.
- Enforce occupancy policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- In this highly visible leadership role, you will serve as the primary operational link bridging site-level execution, building staff, external vendors, and executive management.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain first-class resident relations.
- Hands-on management of a residential rental property, including communication with residents, attorneys, leasing team, and building staff members.
- Communicate with main office of all building findings, status of building operations, as well as staffing needs and/or employee issues.
- Perform legal apartment inspections.
- Supervise repairs and allocate appropriate resources to maintain building mechanics and operations.
- Respond and manage emergency conditions and inquiries.
- Service contract manage ment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 7-10 years property management experience in luxury, hi-rise rental (Required).
- Working knowledge of city, state, and federal agencies, and rent stabilization.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of city, state, and federal agencies, and rent stabilization.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with repairs, maintenance, and mechanicals.
- Communication: Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with all levels of management, residents, and vendors.
- Financial & Analytical Skills: Must be able to create and analyze budgets and quarterly management reports.
Nice to have
- Experience with Unions (Preferred).
- Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with repairs, maintenance, and mechanicals.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with all levels of management, residents, and vendors.
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- Union Experience: Experience with Unions (Preferred).

- Proficient computer skills (Rent Manager, YARDI, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Avid, and Paycom).

Compensation
- $125,000 - $150,000 / year (commensurate with experience, qualifications, and operational track record).
- Prepare and review various management reports including annual budgets, move-outs reports, monthly managerial reports, and incident reports.
