About the role
- T he Laundry Staff Lead is responsible for overseeing laundry and linen operations within a federally contracted ICE residential facility.
- This position supervises laundry staff, coordinates the laundering and distribution of clothing, linens, bedding, and towels, maintains inventory levels, and ensures compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation standards.
- The Laundry Staff Lead serves as a working lead, performing hands-on laundry duties while supporting efficient daily operations and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- We provide a range of professional services, including specialized facilities, customized logistics support, and direct care services.
- Laundry Operations Oversee and perform the collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of clothing, linens, bedding, towels, and other assigned materials.
- Staff Leadership & Coordination Provide day-to-day oversight and support for laundry staff.
- Inventory & Distribution Maintain inventories of linens, bedding, towels, clothing, laundry supplies, and related materials.
- Track and maintain records related to laundry operations, inventory usage, and supply levels.
- Sanitation & Safety Maintain laundry areas in clean, organized, and sanitary conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to work in environments involving heat, humidity, cleaning products, and varying conditions.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services, or a related support role.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, sanitation practices, and safe handling of cleaning products and contaminated materials.
- Documentation & Compliance Complete and review required logs, inventory records, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
- Participate in required training and maintain compliance with all workplace requirements.
Skills
- Experience in healthcare, residential, institutional, hospitality, government, or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, bloodborne pathogen protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience managing linen, clothing, or supply inventories.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and environmental sanitation practices.
- If applicable, Child Abuse/ Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check with no adverse findings.
