About the role
- In this role, you will apply strong product and program management skills to keep a multi-module software team focused, organized, and on schedule.
- You will share clear status with leadership, raise risks early, and help shape what gets built next.
- This role is based at ICON's Austin, TX office and reports to the Director of Digital Product Experience.
Responsibilities
- Help break large goals into sprint-ready work with engineering leads.
- Capacity and Quarterly Planning: Model capacity, sequence work, and check timelines during quarterly planning. Watch for workload that may lead to burnout and raise it early.
- Mentorship and Cross-Functional Leadership: Coach other program managers and partners on planning practices that work. Advise cross-functional partners on delivery and prioritization questions.
Requirements
- Track record running delivery for a software product with multiple teams or modules.
- You have managed backlogs, sprint plans, and roadmaps at scale.
- Experience coordinating work between software and hardware, operations, or field teams.
- You can share a short update with a VP and dig into scope with an engineer in the same hour.
- Comfort with shifting priorities.
- Working knowledge of agile practices.
- Ability to explain delivery status and tradeoffs to non-technical audiences and senior
- Experience with products used in the field rather than at a desk, and the design choices
Skills
- Experience in construction technology, robotics, manufacturing, or another physical-
- Background in technical program management at a growing company.
- Familiarity with construction workflows, BIM tools, or field operations software.
- Experience with government or defense contracts and their compliance needs.
- Experience modeling capacity for small and mid-size teams.
