About the role

  • As our new Senior Environmental Assessment & Permitting professional, you will play a key role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

Responsibilities

  • Support consultation and engagement activities, contributing to clear, respectful, and effective communication processes.
  • Mentor and support junior and intermediate staff, contributing to knowledge sharing and team development.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a related environmental discipline (environmental science, engineering, ecology, or environmental policy/law).
  • 7-12+ years of experience in environmental assessment and permitting in BC or a relevant Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Strong understanding of municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulatory and permitting frameworks.
  • Experience working within an environmental consulting environment.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
  • Travel within Canada, particularly within BC, may be required depending on project needs.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting EA processes and preparing regulatory applications and technical reports.
  • Exposure to Indigenous consultation and stakeholder engagement processes is an asset.
  • Understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards is an asset.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. Final agreed-upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
