About the role
- Wing is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to join our Electrical Engineering Team.
- This role is onsite based in Palo Alto, CA.
- Encourage innovation and technical leadership across all areas of electronic hardware development and related processes
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of electrical engineers with diverse backgrounds who drive the development of Wing's growing portfolio of aircraft and ground support hardware
- Set clear expectations and create a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment
- Support the performance review process and provide effective feedback
- Hire and develop new talent to improve our capabilities, enhance our capacity, and execute on product development opportunities
- Implement both tactical and strategic team and org-based improvement initiatives
- Drive cross-functional consensus building in a dynamic environment and promote strong, "silo-free" communication and collaboration between teams
- Support schedule/budget development and coordinate with program management
- Provide focus and technical leadership in design reviews
- Actively reduce complexity by fostering simple and elegant designs/solutions
Requirements
- 10+ years of hardware development engineering experience
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Ability to inspire and coach individuals and groups to achieve career development and performance goals
- Experience managing priorities in ambiguous situations
- Practical knowledge of how to quickly prototype and test designs as well as experience with high-volume production manufacturing

Compensation
- $253,000 - $269,000 USD
