About the role
- The candidate will have a deep commitment to providing trauma-informed, youth-centered, and harm-reduction services.
- Previous experience working with youth, community members, educators, service providers, and survivors is strongly desired.
- Experience delivering engaging presentations and activities is also strongly desired.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and refine training materials for community outreach.
- Support and mentor SAVE's youth leadership group, helping youth leaders facilitate peer-led workshops, discussions, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and key stakeholders to ensure the program's success and expand outreach.
- Assist in individual and group support and counseling, offering guidance on healthy relationship dynamics and referring youth to appropriate services when necessary.
- Support the planning, implementation, and execution of the Symbiosis Summit, helping youth and adult leaders engage the broader community.
- SAVE provides safety, support and resources for people to live free from Intimate Partner Violence and engages communities in the work to end violence.
Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions effectively.
- Comfort discussing sensitive topics, such as domestic violence, and the ability to handle these discussions with care and professionalism.
- Required:
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, capable of connecting with both youth and adults quickly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and develop strategies to implement informed, responsible solutions.
- Ability to deliver presentations and materials with enthusiasm, making the content accessible and engaging for people of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to adjust delivery and engagement strategies based on the audience and setting to ensure effective participation.
- Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong alignment with the mission and values of SAVE, with a focus on creating a future free from teen dating violence.
- Basic understanding of social justice issues, including domestic violence, its causes, and its impact, as well as its intersectionality with other social issues.
- Availability to work during school hours (Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm).

Compensation
- $28.63 per hour.

- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Education:
- In collaboration with team members and other staff, utilize forums such as SAVE's social media presence to promote non-violence education and information.
