Responsibilities
- This role will be responsible for specific functions including, but will not be limited to: Generate and review quarterly partnership financial statements and partner capital statements.
- Prepare timely and accurately work papers, capital call and distribution notices, calculate carried interest, allocate profits and losses in accordance with governing documents.
- Analyze partnership and investment documents and properly set up investment structures and subsidiaries.
- Provide support for the external audit function during the quarterly review and year-end audit.
- Perform other accounting duties and investor services duties as assigned.
- Employees may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the organization's ongoing needs.
Requirements
- (minimum requirements) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a private equity fund accounting position.
- Experience with partnership accounting and partnership tax rules.
- Solid comprehension of GAAP, ASC 946, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and experience with accounting and reporting for private equity partnerships.
- Experience with investor reporting and CRM practices.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems Expected

Compensation

- We are seeking a Fund Accountant to join our team in our Denver headquarters.
- This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting & Reporting and will be responsible for performing and coordinating fund accounting functions across the organization.
- The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with private equity accounting.
- An outstanding fund accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and team environment with minimal day-to-day oversight.
