This role is responsible for technician hiring, training, performance management, and day-to-day KPIs to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely service delivery.
Increasingly, this role is also a data-informed one.

About the Field Manager Role The Field Manager leads and supports a team of field technicians who service and maintain client-owned fleets.
The Field Manager oversees maintenance and repair activities, drives adherence to service standards and safety protocols, troubleshoots complex service issues, and partners with clients and vendors to resolve challenges.
The Field Manager is expected to track, interpret, and act on operational metrics - not just manage what's in front of them.

You know your team's individual performance baselines, have audited the accuracy of current reporting, and have identified at least one gap in how data is being captured or used.
You are actively coaching technicians using performance data, not just observation.
6 months: You have identified and acted on at least two data-backed operational improvements.
What Makes You a Great Fit 5-7 years' experience leading Fleet Maintenance teams.
Minimum 7 years' experience of fleet maintenance and repair as a heavy-duty diesel technician.
Specialized understanding of maintenance procedures and general knowledge of industry regulations (e.g. EPA, DOT, OSHA) to ensure compliance.

Compensation range of $90-120K, with a competitive base salary and performance-based bonus.
