About the role

  • We are hiring a Software Engineer II in Northwest Arkansas who ships production software and uses AI tools as a core part of how they work.
  • You will bring 2+ years of professional.NET development experience, daily fluency with AI coding assistants, and enough consulting instinct to sit across from a client without a script.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build custom web applications using.NET Core, C#, MVC, and Azure
  • Own features end-to-end - from client conversation to deployed code to production support

Requirements

  • You are fluent with Azure - web apps, function apps, APIs, and supporting services
  • You have shipped code to production, debugged it under pressure, and owned its lifecycle
  • You use AI coding assistants daily - and you have a point of view on when to trust the output and when to verify it
  • You are comfortable in client conversations - explaining trade-offs, pushing back respectfully, and communicating progress without hand-holding
  • You work independently on complex problems and know when to ask for help

Nice to have

  • Front-end fluency: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • WordPress, PHP, MySQL exposure
  • Broader Azure services experience (Storage, Service Bus, Application Insights, etc.)
  • Consulting Skills Required
  • Sharp Hue is a consultancy.
  • Every developer here is client-facing to some degree.
  • You do not need to be a polished account executive, but you do need to:
  • Explain technical decisions to people who do not have your background

Skills

  • The day-to-day relies on these, so you will want to be solid in:
  • C# and.NET Core (multiple professional projects, not just coursework)
  • ASP.NET Core MVC pattern
  • Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, and related cloud services
  • API development and service integration
  • Auth - Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA)
  • SQL databases
  • ORMs and database migrations
  • Git workflow: branches, pull requests, code review
  • Visual Studio and Azure DevOps

Compensation

  • $80,000+ (based on experience)
