About the role

  • Redhorse transforms the way Department of War (DoW) utilizes data and technology.
  • You will facilitate the rapid modernization of the force by leading multicomponent assessments and experimentation through a campaign of learning.
  • This is a high-visibility role where your leadership directly impacts the digital and physical architecture of future defense capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the planning, development, and execution of major research, engineering, and development (R&D) efforts for defense organizations.
  • Direct a portfolio of technology programs exceeding $100M in value, overseeing the entire lifecycle from initial design and manufacturing to integration and testing.
  • Navigate and implement the DoW's Defense Acquisition System (DoD 5000 series) to move prototypes through the modernization pipeline.
  • Collaborate with R&E program managers and diverse stakeholders across the DoW to build support for experimental strategies and collect evidence for future force requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in highly classified environments, ensuring all program objectives are met within security protocols.
  • Program Leadership: 10+ years' experience as a lead or deputy Program Manager for major technology programs/portfolios exceeding $100M in value.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience with the DoW's Defense Acquisition System (DoD 5000 series) and DoW organizational structures.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following areas:
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and be eligible for Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • Required Experience/Clearance
  • Acquisition Knowledge: 5+ years' experience with the DoW's Defense Acquisition System (DoD 5000 series) and DoW organizational structures.

Compensation

  • The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates.
