About the role
- Please note the hours for this role are Mon-Fri 2:30-finish, occasional Saturdays as needed** The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing maintenance operations during an assigned shift.
- This includes leading and training maintenance staff, coordinating equipment upkeep with production, and ensuring compliance with safety, USDA, and operational standards.
- The role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks with minimal disruption.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implements long-term solutions.
- Maintain and update CMMS records, ensuring accurate documentation of work orders and maintenance logs.
- Support capital projects and equipment installations in collaboration with engineering and operations.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical components.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding -environment.
- Overtime, weekend, or on-call shifts may be required based on production needs.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Experience in food manufacturing or USDA-regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Skills
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities across a wide range of industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
