Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, and BESS power distribution equipment.
- Manage the startup, energization, and complex troubleshooting of AC and DC components, providing technical guidance to field technicians on solar and BESS sites.
- Coordinate directly with construction leads, SCADA teams, and utility partners to ensure seamless system integration and communication protocols.
- Manage and audit energy isolation procedures (LOTO) to ensure a zero-incident environment during the transition from construction to operations.
- Moss Energy is seeking a dedicated Commissioning Assistant Manager to lead and oversee the startup and delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
- The Commissioning Assistant Manager serves as a critical bridge between field execution and senior management to drive project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or senior technical role commissioning electrical systems within solar, BESS, or utility/industrial sectors.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods, specialized equipment, and NETA standards.
- Strong ability to interpret control logic, advanced technical drawings, and protective relay settings.
- Demonstrated experience in field execution management including troubleshooting, team coordination, and project reporting.
