About the role

  • You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications.
  • The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force's Space Systems Center (SSC).
  • We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities to assist with development and maintenance of technical baselines.
  • Develop, refine, and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring they are clear, traceable, and verifiable.
  • Support and occasionally lead technical working groups: preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes, tracking actions, and fostering collaborative problem-solving.
  • Review program documentation, capture reviewer comments, and collaborate with contractors on adjudication.
  • Provide technical input and assist in developing briefings for USSF program leadership.
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering or requirements management
  • Experience with requirements specification, analysis, and verification
  • Familiarity requirements traceability tools (e.g., DOORS)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a technical discipline, i.e., engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science
  • INCOSE ASEP/CSEP/ESEP certification
  • MBSE certification (OCSMP)
  • Experience with Agile development tools or methodologies
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with MILSATCOM systems (AEHF, EPS, WGS, Tactical SATCOM, COMSATCOM)
  • Familiarity with space and ground systems such as satellite communications, terminals, or DoD networks

Compensation

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,000 to $145,000
