About the role

  • Job Description STV is seeking a CEI, Construction Engineering Office Engineer for our Transportation department based in our Hartford, CT office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements through review and verification of contractor submissions.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including RFIs/RFCs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders.
  • Support field inspection teams by providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection (CE&I)
  • OR NICET Level 2 with a minimum of 4 years of experience in CE&I
  • Familiarity with CE&I processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Nice to have

  • Prior CTDOT CE&I experience
  • Professional Engineer License
  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training
  • Working knowledge of Compass and AASHTOWare project (AWP)

  • $83,978.91 - $95,975.90
