About the role

All applicants must possess knowledge of sections 4884, et. seq. of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, as well as ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards, relating to the design and operation of cranes and derricks, including those specifically applicable to the types of cranes for which a license will be issued.
Understand sold work hours and perform inspections within the allowed hours without compromising safety or quality. Communicate exceptions to supervisor, as soon as possible.
Perform inspection of equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
Document findings and make corrective recommendations to the customer for inspected equipment including a written "Safety Notification" of any observed or known safety concerns, if appropriate.
Maintain copy of "Inspector's Course" to be available for report completion at customer site.
Maintain regular communication with the service office and Service Supervisor, in accordance with established practices.
Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle and assets in a safe and proper working order. Operate tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify supervisor of any deficiencies for resolution.
Maintain company vehicle and uniforms in a clean and presentable manner.

Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license.
Must be willing and able to work off the ground.
Must be able to travel and work out of town, on occasion.
Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis.
Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis.
Inspectors are required to be certified to perform compliance inspections and/or preventive maintenance products that incorporate compliance inspections in accordance with Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations.
To be approved the surveyor must possess knowledge and experience with the specific equipment subject to the license and demonstrate at least five years of related experience as set forth in subsection (a)(2) above.
Complete and provide proper electronic documentation utilizing the established company digital tools required for each service, obtaining the customer's signature and acceptance.

Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred.

$38- $48 an hour - Pay is determined based on skills, geographic location, internal equity, market/data analysis, number of years of prior relevant experience, degrees and/or certifications, technical assessment score, etc.
2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date).
5 days of Sick Leave per year.
10 paid holidays per year

EDUCATION: Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred.
Related education may be substituted for experience at a ratio of two years of education for one year of experience up to three years.

Our Service Technicians get a work truck and a gas card to be used for business purposes.
Candidates must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
