Responsibilities

  • Ensuring client's document management systems are updated, if applicable.
  • Utilizing existing systems and procedures and/or establishing new procedures to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents by and for the attorneys on the case team.
  • Assisting with discovery, document collection, organization, review, and productions.
  • Proofreading, cite checking and blue book court briefs and discovery documents.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable and effective in demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Exhibit high degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to both understand the "big picture" and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated instances of taking initiative.
  • Ability to support complex litigation cases from beginning to end.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and able to efficiently handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Creative thinker who is open to considering multiple approaches to issues and collaborating with other leaders to develop and execute plans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.
  • Available to travel as needed.

Nice to have

  • Candidate must meet any applicable state requirements governing the performance or paralegal duties, including any required certifications or qualifications..
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Understanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations, and workflow.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Google Workspace, Google Docs, Google Sheets.
  • Proficiency in Lexis Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Proficient in iManage.
  • Experience with eDiscovery Databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, and CaseMap.
  • Experienced with AI tools such as, Claude, Harvey, ChatGPT, CoCounsel, Gemini etc.

Compensation

  • The annual compensation range for this position is $150-180k.
  • The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
