About the role

  • The Certified Electrical Engineering Technologist will provide technical support for electrical power distribution equipment, assist with product selection and troubleshooting, prepare quotations, and support customers and internal teams throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, excellent communication skills, and experience working with low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Product & Equipment Knowledge • Maintain knowledge of circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, relays, and related electrical equipment. • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and technological developments. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Sales & Customer Support
  • Support the sales team with technical product recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, relays, and related electrical equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Experience in electrical equipment sales, applications engineering, or technical support.

Requirements

  • Assist with quality assurance and testing documentation when required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical power distribution, industrial electrical systems, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control systems, electrical distribution equipment, and electrical drawings/schematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally if required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of CSA, ESA, and applicable electrical standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems and CRM software.
