About the role
- Munson Healthcare's Neurosciences team has an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neurovascular/Stroke team.
- Munson Medical Center (MMC), located in Traverse City, Michigan, along with several other smaller spoke affiliates, care for complex neurovascular patients throughout the area via advanced triage software (Viz Ai).
- MMC is currently a Comprehensive Stroke Center with an Open Endovascular Stroke Interventional Neurosurgery team.
Responsibilities
- Perform outpatient neurovascular clinic care.
Requirements
- Experience in Stroke or related field preferred but not required.
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required.
- BLS certification required.
- ENLS certificate will be required and can be obtained after hire.

- Completes appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care and services rendered in the electronic medical record.
- Observes the Munson Healthcare Advance Practice Provider prescriptive authority guidelines.
- Maintains knowledge of current medical trends in ongoing professional development in pertinent medical fields.
- Round virtually at Munson community hospitals for select neurovascular patients who are not transferred to Munson Medical Center.
- Take part in community education related to stroke prevention.
