About the role
- Serves as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, researcher, consultant, and leader to enhance the skills and competency of caregivers throughout the health system in line with the organization purpose, vision, and values.
- Responsible for the continued development of nursing clinical practice through educational assessment, identification of issues and trends, establishing outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Role models ethical decision making, excellent patient experience skills, evidence-based clinical practice and life-long learning.
Responsibilities
- Promotes acquisition and maintenance of professional certification through caregiver support and facilitation.
- Supports academic advancement of caregivers through mentoring.
- Collaborates with schools of nursing, paramedic programs, and elementary and secondary schools to organize and evaluate student clinical experiences.
- Involves learners, leadership and other key stakeholders in formulating desired outcomes, content design, implementation and evaluation.

- Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department

Compensation
- Coordinates and conducts an annual educational needs assessment for all clinical nurses.
