About the role
- the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, development, administration, risk management, implementation, control, and closure of large-sized projects across multiple business units through the Alliant Energy Strategic Projects organization.
- This role supports hydroelectric dam maintenance projects, requiring experience with FERC regulations, dam maintenance, and power generation, along with the ability to deliver work inn a regulated environment, maintain thorough project documentation, and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manages applicable project contracts in conjunction with sourcing personnel.
- Provides support to and mentors others in the use of organizational change management methodology and business consulting support as needed within the context of program and project management to aid in assurance of achievement of strategic objectives.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems of a moderate nature and implement an effective solution.
- Ability to organize large project plans and effectively document accordingly.
- Ability to develop and apply performance measures.

- Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Hydroelectric Dam Maintenance) to lead large, complex hydroelectric dam maintenance projects from planning through execution.
- In this visible leadership role, you will partner with cross-functional teams, contractors, and regulators to deliver critical infrastructure work that supports safe, reliable energy service.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in project management managing medium to large sized, complex project
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

- Certification achievement of a Project Management Professional certification within 12 months of employment is required.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering

- Alliant Energy offers a comprehensive total rewards package including competitive compensation and benefit programs.
Compensation
- $145,000-$160,000
- This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
- The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
