About the role
- This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
- The software block process focuses on performing corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance on fielded B-52 software.
- Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
- Develop and maintain code, integrating software components into a fully functional system
- Collaborate on software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments
- Execute test procedures and document results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products
- Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations
- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products
- Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development
- Develops, establishes, monitors and improves software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks
- Executes and documents software research and development projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret - Interim Pre-Start & Final Post Start (U.S. Citizenship required)
- 5+ years of experience in software development utilizing Java, C++, or Ada 96.
- 5+ years of experience writing and testing software.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Skills
- Experience with C++, Ada 95, Java, Git, Python, Linux.
- Diverse Experience: Shipped products in multiple technology stacks.
- Production Code: Recent experience writing production code in the mentioned technologies.
- Drug Free Workplace:
- This position is primarily for 1st shift; however, alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives.
- CodeVue Coding Challenge:
- Recent experience writing production code in the mentioned technologies.
Compensation
- $92,650- $125,350
- $118,150 - $159,850
- $149,600 - $202,400
- Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $92,650- $125,350
- Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $118,150 - $159,850
- Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $149,600 - $202,400
