Responsibilities
- Partner daily with manufacturing leadership to review schedule compliance and make adjustments as needed.
- Support month-end manufacturing and shipping activities, helping coordinate efforts to achieve financial and operational objectives.
- Support and monitor safe work practices throughout all operational areas.
- Schedule and maintain assigned manufacturing work centers to support production requirements.
- Interface with Inside Sales, as needed, to provide order status updates and support lead-time adjustments for critical customer requirements.
- Support the Supply Chain Manager by providing input to the manufacturing forecast through the determination of order ship dates based on available materials, labor, capacity, and customer requirements.
- Assist in scheduling manufacturing work centers to optimize on-time delivery performance, maximize factory throughput, and minimize operational inefficiencies.
Requirements
- Ability to work extended hours when business needs require.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing personnel in a production environment that may be noisy.
- Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
- Strong proficiency with Decision Support Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and MRP systems.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or APICS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Planning and Scheduling within a job shop manufacturing environment.
- Wire and cable industry experience preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
