About the role
- The Senior Product Safety Engineer II is responsible for defining and implementing functional safety concepts derived from safety goals and safety cases, aligning with standards like UL4600 and ISO 26262.
- This role works closely with various stakeholders throughout the organization, including product managers, development teams, suppliers, and customers, to achieve safety goals across products.
- Define a functional safety concept from safety goals and safety cases according to UL4600 and ISO 26262.
Responsibilities
- The incumbent will own and manage the safety plan, including the planning and execution of functional safety confirmation measures such as audits and assessments to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Own the development of the safety case for our Driver Out system.
- Own and manage the safety plan according UL4600 and ISO26262 including a schedule to hit the company's product launches.
- Collaborate with the development teams on every aspect of the safety plan through appropriate processes and methods to ensure on-time delivery of mature work products.
- Create, maintain and review safety work products such as HARA, FSC, TSC, FTA, FMEA, SPFM/LFM, PMHF, and DFA.
- Domestic partners who have been residing together at least one year are also eligible to participate.
Requirements
- Communicate with all required stakeholders to identify and define technical/ system requirements and safety requirements tied to the safety goals.
- Ability to effectively communicate and explain functional safety concepts to non-safety engineers.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Engineering, Computer Science or highly technical degree preferred
- A high level of initiative and activation. Must be able to enthusiastically take on challenges, including those peripheral to core responsibilities when needed for project success.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience. Engineering, Computer Science or highly technical degree preferred

- Hands-on with an analytical mindset and a proven track record of problem-solving.
- An ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts including root cause analysis, technical challenges and their solutions, and results backed by data.
- An ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people and teams.
- Understanding of software and hardware development life cycles, integration processes, and test/validation complexity
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Engineering, Computer Science or highly technical degree preferred
- 7+ years of related work experience

Compensation
- $125,000 - $160,000 USD
- Furthermore, May Mobility does not pay placement fees for candidates submitted by any agency other than its approved partners.
