About the role
- We are currently seeking a skilled IBMi Developer to join our IT team.
- Database Communication: Utilize Embedded SQL for secure and efficient data access, retrieval, and system communication
- Process Automation & Optimization: Work closely with business teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- From the smallest unit to the very largest, KeepRite Refrigeration brings experience and commitment to the refrigeration industry - beginning with the product design and engineering, and continuing through manufacturing, sales and aftermarket support.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize applications on the IBMi platform using SQL, Node.js, RPG, RPGLE, and CL
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using JSON to integrate IBMi Power systems with external platforms
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
- You will work with SQL, Node.js, RPG, RPGLE, and CL to optimize system performance, automate business processes, and develop integrations with external applications.
- Application Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize applications on the IBMi platform using SQL, Node.js, RPG, RPGLE, and CL
- System Integration & Web Services: Design and develop RESTful APIs using JSON to integrate IBMi Power systems with external platforms
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with IT and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience as an IBMi Developer
- Extensive knowledge in SQL, Embedded SQL, DB2, DDS, and DDL for database management and integration.
- Strong programming skills in RPG, RPGLE, RPG Free and CL
- Familiarity with VS Code, Node.js, and modern development tools considered an asset
- Experience in manufacturing and order lifecycle applications preferred
- Knowledge of Git for version control and collaborative development is considered an asset
