About the role
- AoPS Academy is a program of Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), a global leader in K-12 advanced education.
- Since 2003, AoPS has trained hundreds of thousands of the country's top students through its online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems.
- AoPS Academy offers unique problem solving curriculum at its in-person locations across the country as well as through the virtual campus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries both by phone and email
- Maintain multiple calendars, schedule meetings and ensure everything is up-to-date
- Perform light cleaning duties; assume responsibility for the organization, operation, and appearance of the lobby and front desk area
- Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the general public
Requirements

- Required / Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- experience interacting with families and students (elementary through high school) preferred
Skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Maintain flexibility to effectively solve problems under pressure
- Administrative and/or customer service experience
- Proficiency with Google Workspace applications (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
- Motivated to learn new technologies
- Maintain customer confidentiality
- Lift up to 25lbs
Compensation
- The Front Desk Associate pay rate for our Fremont location is a range of 24.29 - 24.86/hour.
