Responsibilities

  • Perform l ighting preventative maintenance.
  • Perform b attery preventative maintenance and i nverter testing on battery backups for lights.
  • Perform assigned duties related to r ack moves, deployments, and decommissioning.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and related s ecurity gate repair.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective maintenance.
  • Maintain s pill Prevention kits for g enerators, s ubstations, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Formal vocational school training in the fundamentals of the electrical trade is required.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade required.
  • Unlimited electrical or contractor's license, required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to follow directions from other staff members and management.
  • A positive and professional attitude is always required, along with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of email and MS Office software.
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and small hand tools.

  • Assistant Critical Facilities Manager
  • The Journeyman should be an experienced outside lineman, inside wireman, installer technician, electrician, or Master Electrician who has been engaged in the trade for at least seven (7) years.
  • The Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey-level electrical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment at the assigned data center.
