About the role
- As a Security Officer at Vail Health, you'll help protect our property, people, and assets by enforcing a hospital-wide safety and security program based on Joint Commission standards, industry best practices, and our commitment to exceptional care.
- You'll be part of a team that plays a critical, front-line role in creating a secure and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Document incidents and investigations accurately and professionally
- Support patients in crisis, including one-on-one watches and behavior management in collaboration with clinical teams
- Maintain access control systems, key management, and alarm systems
- Help maintain a calm, safe environment by assisting with de-escalation and conflict resolution
Requirements
- Candidates must demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to effectively comprehend, retain, and process both verbal and written communication.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of prior security experience preferred
Skills
- Able to quickly learn and use computer systems, complete online training, and stay current with documentation
- Language: Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills
