- This role is responsible for managing environmental investigations, remediation projects, client relationships, and multidisciplinary project teams while providing technical leadership and mentoring to staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage and conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Provide technical support, mentorship, and guidance to staff scientists, engineers, geologists, and field technicians.
- Participate in business development activities and support the growth of the environmental practice.
- Through an integrated, holistic approach, our professionals provide solutions for building envelope, energy efficiency, sustainability, code advisory and construction advisory projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of environmental consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with California environmental regulations, remediation programs, and regulatory processes.
- Experience supporting construction-related environmental projects.
- Local Southern California environmental consulting experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior staff and supporting technical team development.
- Professional licensure as a Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
Compensation
- Senior Project Geologist/Engineer: $130,000-150,000/year
- Project Geologist/Engineer: $110,000-130,000/year
