About the role
- CCPA MB is an independent, non-partisan charitable research institute dedicated to advancing social, economic, and environmental justice.
- Author reports, policy briefs, opinion pieces, blogs, and other accessible research products.
- Work with the Director to respond to emerging policy issues and contribute to the organization's strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Lead original research on labour issues and public policy, including topics such as workers' rights, taxation, public services, economic inequality, climate policy, government budgets, and public ownership.
- Our research informs public debate, influences decision-makers, and helps build a more equitable Manitoba.
- As the Errol Black Chair, you will investigate the issues that matter most to workers and communities, produce influential research, engage with the media, collaborate with labour and community organizations, and help shape public policy across Manitoba and Canada.
Requirements
- A graduate degree in political economy, economics, politics or another relevant discipline.
Compensation
- Salary and benefits
- This unionized position (UNIFOR Local 567) offers a salary of $88,800-$96,700, an excellent pension and benefits package, and a hybrid work arrangement (three days in the Winnipeg office, two days remote).
