- In this position, you will join our Manufacturing & Production Organization within our Aeronautics Systems sector as an Mechanical Assembler- Level 1 supporting our Bethpage, NY site.
Responsibilities
- CAD Reading: Interpreting technical drawings, models, diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Specifications to ensure builds are accurate.
- A Mechanical Assembler is a specialized manufacturing and production role responsible for constructing, fitting, and installing components to build complex machines or mechanical products.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical assembling in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of mechanics, fasteners, hardware, and structural buildouts.
- The ability to uses MS Office products and CAD viewers on a daily basis.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs.
- U.S. Citizenship required for clearance.
Nice to have
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, blueprints, etc.
- Experience as an operator of precision machinery such as a milling machine or lathe
- Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Compensation
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- $36,500.00 - $60,800.00
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
