About the role

  • Assist the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine with providing medical treatment for all student-athletes and the day-to-day administration of the American University Sports Medicine program.
  • This position reports directly to the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine and practices under general supervision of Team Physicians as defined by the DC Department of Health Chapter 104.

  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Frequent travel is required.
  • Travel Required:
  • Degree from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
  • BOC certification.
  • Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) certification at the Basic Life Support/Professional Rescuer level or above.
  • District of Columbia Athletic Trainer Licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • NPI Number.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in college athletics and at the NCAA Division-I level is preferred.

Compensation

  • $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 annually.
