About the role

  • Air Liquide is hiring for a Process & Systems Engineering Associate in Houston, TX!
  • Working closely with the local project team as well as other engineering execution centers (including Hangzhou, Kobe, Delhi, France or Germany to ensure the project competitiveness, operation reliability and safety.
  • cover the full lifecycle of Process and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs) development.

Responsibilities

  • Support and advance the company's safety standards
  • Understand the needs of customers and design with the resources of Global E&C the most optimized, comprehensive and high-performing cryogenic or air-gas solution
  • Participate in developing process design basis for proposals
  • Perform process calculation (e.g. pressure profile, process simulation, line sizing) using in-house tools
  • Develop and provide process deliverables (e.g. material and utility balance, equipment sizing, process description, process flow diagram PFD, block flow diagram BFD, process datasheets, P&IDs)
  • Understand and implement plant design philosophy (e.g. winterization, derime, pressure circuits) as needed

Requirements

  • Support development of the freedom to operate (FTO) for the process solution and study patents as required
  • Learn required AL technologies as needed on assignments

Nice to have

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering Or Mechanical Engineering
  • Very good knowledge in thermodynamics
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong customer-centric mindset
  • Proactive to learn
  • Short term travel locally or internationally is required depending on the assigned work tasks
  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering
