About the role

  • AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only.
  • Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard.
  • First consideration will be given to Category 1.

Requirements

  • Experience which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations
  • GS10 Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level
  • experience interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, guides and diagrams to correct malfunctions of the assigned aircraft (HH60, UH60, Ch47, UA72)
  • experience applying and interpreting procedures and techniques as described in flight manuals and other applicable technical publications
  • experience performing in-flight duties to include systems monitoring and interpretation, functional check and troubleshooting of onboard computers and navigational systems, etc
  • experience which demonstrates ability to provide formal instruction.

Compensation

  • $68k-$88k
