About the role
- AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1 & 3 Only.
- Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL National Guard military membership; Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard.
- First consideration will be given to Category 1.
Requirements
- Experience which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations
- GS10 Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level
- experience interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, guides and diagrams to correct malfunctions of the assigned aircraft (HH60, UH60, Ch47, UA72)
- experience applying and interpreting procedures and techniques as described in flight manuals and other applicable technical publications
- experience performing in-flight duties to include systems monitoring and interpretation, functional check and troubleshooting of onboard computers and navigational systems, etc
- experience which demonstrates ability to provide formal instruction.
