Responsibilities
- Under the general direction of the System Operator, the Control Center Operator Trainee will perform the following duties related to the operation of the distribution, transmission, network and LRT systems.

Requirements
- Must have a proven safety record and thorough knowledge of Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Practices (SWPs)
- Must have a valid Province of Alberta driver's license, upgrade as required
- Must have a general knowledge of the principles involved in the operation of construction and maintenance methods and procedures
- Experience as a Journeyperson Power Technician or Journeyperson Power Systems Electrician
- Must have passed the Control Center Operator Trainee and ASO exam.
- Must be willing to upgrade qualifications as required
- Technical Proficiency (critical)
- Monitoring Network Alarms as required
- Perform other duties as required
- This is a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) designated role. CIP training is required to be completed annually, as well as a requirement to have a criminal record check completed every 7 years and to pass a personal risk assessment.
- Must meet ENMAX Corporation's requirements as to qualifications and/or must be qualified under the Alberta Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act with respect to the related electrical trade
- Must pass the NERC exam to the level of Transmission Operator.
Compensation
- $70.27 per hour (2026 Collective Agreement rates)
