About the role
- We are seeking two experienced Backend Web Developers to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and services.
- The ideal candidates will have strong experience with Python, Java, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, AWS cloud services, and containerized microservices architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy server-side applications and microservices using Python and Java.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integration services.
- Develop and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL.
- Implement and support search capabilities using Elasticsearch.
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and related container technologies.
- Write and maintain automated unit tests using Pytest and JUnit.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, deployment procedures, and operational guides.
- Support CI/CD processes utilizing GitLab pipelines and version control practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience implementing and supporting Elasticsearch solutions.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
- Experience with container technologies and microservices architectures.
- Proficiency with GitLab and source control management.
- Experience writing automated unit tests using JUnit and/or Pytest.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of application security best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale web applications
