About the role
- A staff Occupational Therapist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care.
Responsibilities
- Provides therapeutic treatments and evaluation of equipment needs as applicable. Prepares clinical and progress notes that support skilled interventions and assesses outcomes of care. Plans for discharge of patient.
- Builds trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Participates in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students as needed.
- Utilizes testing results and develops updated plan of care based on principles outlined in appropriate evidence based guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree, Occupational Therapy (Required) or
- Masters Degree, Occupational Therapy (Required) or
- Doctoral Degree, Occupational Therapy (Required)
- Valid Drivers License Required

- Licenses and Certifications
- License Occupational Therapy (OT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) and
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required) and
- Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job

Compensation
- $91k-$125k
Benefits
- $91,000.00 - $125,125.00/AnnualActual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
- The Therapist is required to be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various patient care settings.
- Coordinates the Occupational Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides and services including completion of required supervisory visit documentation.
- Carries out treatment plan effectively and modifies to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria and return to optimal level of care.
