About the role
- In this role, the coordinator will prepare a technical presentation for future launches to the I&I teams.
- This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days per week working in the lab located in Fairfield, New Jersey and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Manage all stability reports from external manufacturers and share findings with corresponding chemist.
- Develop detailed lab scale processes for success in manufacturing, including critical raw materials order of addition, processing parameters, and preliminary specification and test results
- Document in MAESA Lab book every batch made with details of reason for the batch, batching notes, batch specification results and other test results as applicable
- Manage each of the brand trackers for submissions/ formulas/ samples/ testing for the whole R&D team
- Manage digital formula libraries for R&D
- Request and manage formula documents (COA/ Raw Material documents) to provide to regulatory once formula approval for internal formulas
- Perform/Monitor calibration and validation of all lab instruments.
- Maintain clean, safe and well-organized lab working area.

Requirements
- Batch formulas & conduct internal stability as required by the supervisor, i.e., track stability, update results charts and summarize data for review at each test period.
- Conduct efficacy testing as required by supervisor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- must be self-motivated and self-directed
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- 3-5 years of beauty industry/personal care, including formulation and scale-up, required
- Experience working as a Lab Technician at a Personal care industry.
- Strong communication skills and adept negotiating/influencing competencies
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree preferred - Chemistry, Engineering or related field of study
