About the role
- UIC is seeking an HRIS Analyst I to join our Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) team.
- The role contributes to UIC HR and HRIS initiatives including audits, system updates, and union contract changes, through data review, testing, and documentation.
- Works with members of the UIC Human Resources team to gather report details, clarify requested data elements, and respond to reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Reporting: Builds and maintains standard and ad hoc reports and dashboards in Tableau or other HRIS reporting tools to fulfill reporting requests.
- Tests and validates report results by following requirements and review processes to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Supports end users by helping explain report content, providing basic training or job aids, and escalating complex analytical questions to senior HRIS or data team members as needed.
- Supports HRIS and HR teams on assigned project tasks by applying foundational system knowledge and following established procedures.
- Performs initial troubleshooting to identify basic system issues and documents findings for escalation to senior team members or vendors when needed.
- Supports HRIS upgrades and enhancements by completing assigned reporting tasks, data checks, and responding to project requests under guidance.
Compensation
- Assists with union contract updates by helping enter and validate pay scale changes, salary adjustments, and related data under the guidance of senior HRIS staff to support accuracy and compliance.
