Responsibilities
- Validate material availability against asset schedule.
- Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Plan and Master Production Schedule.
- Develop and provide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to suppliers on regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation.
- Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders.
- Assess and respond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirements based upon supplier lead times.
- Lead resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain, material planning, or procurement experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute material plans aligned to production schedules and supplier constraints.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP, replenishment logic, safety stock / reorder strategies, and production execution principles.
- Effective cross-functional communication skills, working with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers.
