About the role

  • The Operations Safety Coordinator supports workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and employee training programs.
  • This role partners with leadership and employees to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company requirements, maintain safety records, conduct investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver safety training, onboarding, and awareness programs.
  • Maintain safety records, OSHA logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Support Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and other safety programs.
  • Partner with management and employees to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
  • Support site safety committees and day-to-day EHS activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of safety, environmental, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Strong communication, training, investigation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the facility.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Use computers and office equipment for extended periods.
  • Perform inspections, audits, investigations, and training activities throughout the facility.
  • Occasionally bend, kneel, and stoop.
  • Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and office environment.

Nice to have

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.

Compensation

  • Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and workers' compensation investigations.
