About the role

  • We produce strap, stretch and protective packaging.
  • We also manufacture packaging tools and equipment used to apply the bulk packaging materials.

Responsibilities

  • The Finance Manager, Canada provides financial and analytical support for the assigned country/region.
  • The Finance Manager partners closely with Commercial, Operational, and Functional stakeholders to support sound business decision‑making and financial discipline.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, to support business decision-making.
  • Support the timely execution of the monthly financial close process in accordance with U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, and internal Signode policies and procedures.
  • Assist with local statutory reporting requirements and support external audits and tax filings in coordination with corporate and external advisors.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to support government, internal, and external audit requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and operational insight to Commercial, Operational, and Functional leaders to support cost management, profitability, and performance improvement.
  • Support capital expenditure planning by assisting with business case preparation, spend tracking, and financial analysis.
  • Support standardization of procedures and effective use of financial systems and tools in alignment with Signode practices.
  • Provide financial support during the integration of newly acquired businesses into Signode's reporting and control frameworks.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in finance / accounting.
  • Master's degree and/or certificated accountant designation a plus.
  • 5-8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations-focused environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with financial consolidation systems (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion) preferred
  • Experience working with integrated ERP systems, D365 a plus
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements
  • SOX exposure a plus

Compensation

  • The annual salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - $150,000 + 10% bonus target and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location.
  • Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.
  • The Finance Manager, Canada provides financial and analytical support for the assigned country/region.
  • This role is responsible for leading a team of five, including two Senior Accountants and three AR, Credit, and Collections specialists, and ensuring the team operates effectively and in alignment with business objectives.
  • The role is accountable for monthly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), supporting the annual budgeting process, quarterly financial forecasts, KPI reporting, local statutory reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • The Finance Manager partners closely with Commercial, Operational, and Functional stakeholders to support sound business decision‑making and financial discipline.
  • Support business planning activities, including preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
