About the role
- This position oversees compliance to the policies, procedures, work instructions contained in the quality management system.
- Portland is a fast-paced, customer-focused operation with a strong team environment.
- This role is critical to maintaining quality performance, supporting growth, and providing on-site quality leadership.
Responsibilities
- Document and data control oversight in Plant, ownership and maintenance of measurement devices, corrective and preventive actions and their follow-ups, oversight of quality records held in Plant, process auditing for compliance to procedures, implementing statistical control of equipment and processes.
- QAR does not own responsibility for all Plant training; QAR will act as trainer on quality department documents
Requirements
- Must have rudimentary computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work with a diversified work force required.
- Ability to effectively interact with Plant Operations Supervisors and Managers required.
- 3 years Quality Assurance/Control experience
- Experience or training in ISO9001:2015 or AS9100 quality standards
Nice to have
- Good written and verbal skills are required.
- QAR must be detail oriented to the requirements of our Quality Management System.
- Quality system training is preferred, but not required.
- Desire for additional formal training should exist.
- Formal quality training is preferred, but not required.
- Additional training as determined by the Quality Supervisor.
